Dan Dever Memorial Skatepark
Othello’s newest recreation facility features a 6,000 sq. ft. skate park that is a functional yet aesthetically pleasing facility comprised of numerous amenities including a double stair set, 7.5’ bowl, bank ramp, grind rail, and most notably, “Harvest Gold” colored concrete. Following approval of the park’s final design in January 2015, the Othello City Council approved a vote to formally name the future skate park the Dan Dever Memorial Skate Park, in honor of the late City of Othello Councilman who spearheaded the project over five years ago and advocated the need for and supported the development of a public skate park in Othello until his passing in May of 2014.
